Attractions & Events
There is much more to see and do than is listed here...
In and around the town of Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage
Site and birthplace of the Bluenose, you can find whale watching, art galleries,
the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic and the Ovens Natural Park (sea caves and boat
tours).
The Liverpool area features the Sherman Hines Museum of Photography
and Art Galleries, the Hank Snow Country Music Centre, the Liverpool Golf & Country
Club, the Liverpool Tennis Club and more.
In Shelburne County you can find the Ross Thomson House &
Store, showing life in the 1780's, the Barrington Woolen Mill Museum, garden tours,
18th century architectural walking tours, museums, art galleries and sand sculpting
contests.
Closer to Hunts Point, for those who want to relax and take a
walk along a beautiful sandy beach, there is Beach Meadows, Summerville, White Point,
Port Joli and Carter's Beach. Summerville Beach park has a picnic area and salt-water
lagoon. In the village of Port Mouton, there are shipwrecks for scuba divers and
an artificial reef that can be accessed by snorkelers. Also nearby, in Port Joli,
